Checks & Balances is the magazine of Students' Association Clio and is published four times per academic year. The magazine focuses on international politics, economics, jurisprudence, and history. All this is covered with an international perspective.

Each issue covers in-depth articles and interesting interviews, and discusses the way elements of international relations are applied in the modern day world. Checks & Balances has interviewed prominent people such as Jaap de Hoop Scheffer, Alexander Pechtold, Ben Bot en Hisashi Owada (president of the International Court of Justice in The Hague)
