As you may know, the ECCC operates a vibrant international internship program. The ECCC Office of the International Co-Investigating Judge, which is the international side of the Office of the Co-Investigating Judges (OCIJ), offers exciting opportunities for law graduates with a special interest in international criminal law to experience the cutting-edge work of investigating crimes committed during the Khmer Rouge regime. Interns at OCIJ are fully integrated in the office’s operation and carry out many key duties, including research, analysis, and assisting in drafting legal documents. For students interested in pursuing a career in the general areas of human rights and public international law, completing one of the highly competitive internships at the ECCC will be a major stepping-stone.
The office would be happy to consider applications from students with a strong academic background in the fields of criminal law, evidence, public international law, criminal procedure or human rights law, and would appreciate if you could disseminate this letter to final-year JD students, LLM and PGR students.
General information on how to apply can be found on the UNAKRT website, at http://unakrt-online.org/recruitment.
