At the IRSP, collaboration is the heart of our mission. Over the years, we have partnered with a diverse range of institutions — from embassies and ministries to international NGOs, think tanks, and private sector leaders — to deliver research that bridges academic rigour and real-world policy relevance.
Examples of former partnerships are:
- The Dutch Embassy in Moldova & Expert Group (2024–2025) – Supporting Moldova’s energy transition by developing strategies for diversification and renewable integration, laying the groundwork for a 5–10 year national roadmap.
- The Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs (2023–2024) – Exploring solutions to transform “brain drain” into “brain gain” across the Baltic states through policies that strengthen academic exchange and innovation ecosystems.
- Civil Society Platform for Peacebuilding and Statebuilding (2023–2024) – Advancing peace, justice, and strong institutions in South Sudan by examining how local civil society can thrive in fragile contexts.
- Bellingcat (2018–2019) – Investigating disinformation campaigns targeting humanitarian organisations such as the Syrian Civil Defence (“White Helmets”) through open-source research and discourse analysis.
- The Embassy of Rwanda in The Hague (2010–2011) – Identifying opportunities to enhance Dutch foreign investment in Rwanda and strengthen bilateral economic cooperation.
- PostNL (2010–2011) – Assessing the future of the European postal sector amid liberalisation and digitalisation, and advising on strategic adaptation to shifting market dynamics.
Through these collaborations, IRSP researchers have worked across sectors including economic policy, diplomacy, international development, migration, and corporate strategy. Each partnership demonstrates our commitment to producing evidence-based insights that inform policy, foster innovation, and contribute to positive global change.
