For the Economics and Business minor I interviewed Laila, these are her answers to my questions.

1. Which minor did you do?
Laila did a personal minor within the Faculty of Economics and Business.

2. What were the subjects you had in your minor?
FDI and Firm Location, International Strategic Management, Ethics for International Business, Global Business History, Innovation Management and Multinationals, and International Business Law.

3. Why did you choose this minor? Would you choose it again?
Laila has always been interested in economics and business, and she felt that combining a minor in this area with a Bachelor's in IRIO would be highly beneficial. She would absolutely choose it again.

4. What motivated you in choosing this minor and finishing it?
The opportunity to apply her IRIO knowledge to another discipline, which gave her a broader and more interdisciplinary perspective.

5. What kind of person should choose this minor?
Someone who genuinely enjoyed the Introduction to Economics course in the first year of IRIO.

6. What was the hardest part of your minor?
According to Laila the most challenging aspect was adjusting to the way the Faculty of Economics and Business operates, as each faculty has its own approach to things like class registration and essay structuring. The classes themselves were not particularly difficult, with the exception of FDI and Firm Location, which was a fairly intense course to start with.

7. What was the most fun part?
Meeting so many new people!

8. Did the course meet your expectations? Yes/No, why?
Yes. She had friends studying IB or EBE who had taken some of these courses, so she had a good idea of what to expect. Laila anticipated that it would be manageable rather than overly difficult, and that turned out to be the case.

9. Do you think your minor will be useful for your future career? Yes/No, why?
Yes. She believes it is important to have a strong balance between IRIO and Economics, as the two fields really do intersect. A solid understanding of both is essential to fully grasp the political and economic dynamics that shape our day-today lives.

10. What would you say to future IRIO students who consider this minor?
´´Go for it! Just make sure to submit the courses you would like to take to the Board of Examiners well in advance.´´

11. Was the minor doable? (1 very hard, 10 very easy)
8.7

12. How was the workload?
Very manageable: Laila completed the minor alongside her Board year as Chair of Clio
