The IRSP aims to provide up to three versatile projects on an annual basis. The research setup runs from November to June every year, with selected participants expected to adhere to the following commitments;

Each research group will be assigned one Commissioner of Corporate Relations (CCR) from the IRSP Committee to oversee the research alongside a supervising Professor from the University of Groningen. Each group will be assigned one topic adhering to the research partner’s requirements, with the precise research question being determined by your group. Groups can vary from size, up to six students, and regular meetings will be held to discuss progress, ideas and challenges. Furthermore workshops will take place throughout the duration of the project, alongside the possibility for field research and trips subject to the partner’s needs.

Participants are expected to engage with their research group in a polite and professional manner. It is important to keep in mind that, although students are working for an instructing party, the research project is first and foremost a learning experience, designed to give you a working experience of the IR research field.
