Established in 2005, IRSP is a long-standing CLIO initiative that connects students from the International Relations and International Organisation (IRIO) programme at the University of Groningen with external partners.
IRSP as a committee coordinates research projects by partnering with companies, NGO’s, and institutions that seek academic input on real-world challenges. We work with each partner to define a clear research question and then assign a small team of capable student researchers to carry out the project. Our collaborative projects have been utilised for the mutual benefit of students and our partners, which include think tanks, NGOs, the private sector and governmental institutions.
The IRSP committee oversees the full process from project setup to final delivery to ensure the research is relevant, high quality, and meets the partner’s goals. Projects are designed to directly address the organisation’s interest or operational needs and are conducted in a professional and timely manner.
