Every year, our research partners propose real-world questions or policy challenges. These are then tackled by small, highly motivated working groups of primarily third-year bachelor's or master's students. These teams conduct independent research using academic methodology, with each project receiving individualised support and supervision from the professors at the University of Groningen. The result is an academically tailored research project that addresses specific questions posed by our partners, offering academically grounded insights that can support and strengthen their work in tackling real-world challenges within their organisation.
For our partners, IRSP offers an opportunity to gain fresh perspectives, navigate new developments, acquire differing perspectives and engage with a talented pool of future professionals. For students, it offers a chance to tackle current issues, apply their academic skills beyond the lecture halls, and gain experience in professional research environments.
