Apply to become a student mentor for the new freshmen!
Do you still remember the first weeks at the university?
So many new faces, new teachers and new challenges which seemed to overwhelm you, freshly admitted to the IR program at the RUG. Luckily, you had your student mentors, guiding you through the jungle of tests, orientation and bars. Now it is the time to give your knowledge to the next generation of IR/IO students.
You can now apply to become a Student Mentor for the upcoming academic year. In order to do so, send your application including a 150 to 300 words motivation letter until the 15th of May to info@clio.nl and tell us why you are the perfect pick to be a mentor next year.
You can do that together with a friend in a team or, if you apply alone, be allocated by us to a partner with whom you will work together during your time as a mentor.
Part of your tasks will be among others, be a contact person for the new students, to closely work together with their academic tutors and make the transition from high school to university as smooth as possible. This also includes activities outside the university such as dinners and drinks.
You, of course, are not without help. The ClioWelcome committee will provide you with guidance and will meet up with you to discuss the details of your job.
So send your application as soon as possible!
