On Tuesday May 29th, the Forum Committee will organize the last lecture of this academic year. The lecture will be given by Peter Paul Ekker, who works for IKV Pax Christi’s NoNukes program as a lobbyist and campaigner.

IKV Pax Christi works for peace, reconciliation and justice in the world. Their NoNukes program attempts to inform people about the danger of nuclear weapons and is committed to a world free of nuclear weapons.

The lecture focuses on the question: “nuclear weapons – military or political tool?”. Mr. Ekker will give a general introduction to the topic and he will discuss the nuclear proliferation in Iran and North Korea, two countries that are of great concern to the international community.
