The PiP conference is organized annually by Students' Associations Clio, EOS , ismus, Machiavelli and SPIL. This conference is aimed at students of International Relations and Political Science. The PiP conference 2010, will adress the topic of democracy in the Netherlands. The question 'How (un)democratic are the Netherlands?' will be dealt with during the day.
The lecturers will give an insight into the democratic processes in the Netherlands. The day will commence with a lecture by Drs. Frans Weisglas, former president of the Dutch parliament. Then Prof. Dr. Mark Bovens, professor of Public Administration at the University of Utrecht will speak. After lunch Drs. Pieter van Os, policital editor for NRC Handelsblad will lecture. Hero Brinkman, member of parliament for the PVV party, will be our last lecturer.
There will be 10 workshops, these workshops will include workshops by the Ministry of the Interior and Kingdom Relations, Robbert Baruch and the NKWP. Sign up at http://pipcongres.nl/, because there is limited capacity. Participation is free. Lunch will be included.
