United Netherlands is Recruiting Delegates…

Are you a student interested in international politics, but have always wanted to put that interest into practise?

Do you want to improve your public speaking, negotiating, and lobbying skills? Do you want to experience Oxford, Harvard, and the United Nations in one year?

Then join our 2016|2017 delegation!

Every year United Netherlands organizes the 10 ECTS course ‘United Nations and Multilateral Diplomacy’ for a selected group of 30 students.  The purpose is  to learn about the United Nations and International Diplomacy and also to improve your personal skills –  public speaking or lobbying. Not only will those skills be useful for the program, but they will benefit you for your lifetime. Read the story of a former International Studies student here.

In 20 weeks the members of the delegation (‘delegates’) prepare to participate in Model United Nations (MUN) conferences at Oxford and Harvard. At these conferences you’ll be able to put your knowledge and skills in the test in committees like the Human Rights Council, Historical General Assembly, and of course the Security Council.

Don’t hesitate to apply! The course is open to students from all academic backgrounds. In fact, we recognize the power of fresh, multidisciplinary perspectives. We are looking for ambition, diversity and a touch of idealism. Plus, applicants are often surprised by their own performance!

The only requirement is that you are enrolled in a Dutch university for the academic year 2016|2017. International students are more than welcome.

The application deadline is August 23rd.  For more information on the selection process please see

We look forward to receiving your application! For further questions please email admission@unitednetherlands.org
