About the speakers:

Vasyl Myroshnychenko holds MSc in international political economy from the London School of Economics (UK) and MA and BA degrees in international relations from Institute of International Relations, Kyiv National Shevchenko University (Ukraine). Vasyl Myroshnychenko is a Co-Founder of Ukrainian Crisis Media Center, a Kyiv-based media NGO set up in March of 2014. The goal of UCMC is to amplify Ukraine’s voice internationally and enhance communications capabilities of various stakeholders focused on the implementation of reforms in Ukraine. Additionally, he is a Partner at CFC Consulting, a strategic communications firm. He advises local and international clients on corporate and crisis communications, investor relations and public affairs. He is an occasional guest lecturer on the topics of Hybrid Warfare, Russian disinformation, EU-Ukraine relations, Nation Branding and Public Diplomacy. He conducted lectures and spoke on the panels at such Universities as: Leiden, London School of Economics, Harvard, Cambridge, American College of Greece, College of Europe and Diplomatic Academy of Ukraine.

Dr. Yuriy Sak

In 1999 graduated from the Taras Shevchenko Kyiv National University, Institute of International Relations, with a Masters degree in Public International Law. In the same year was awarded a Chevening/OSI scholarship at the University of Oxford, UK, where in 2000 received a Certificate of Studies and Research in Public International Law.  In 2006 was awarded a PhD in Law degree at the University of Wolverhampton. From 2000 till 2006 worked as a lecturer at the University of Wolverhampton and the Oxford Brooks University. Delivered lectures on public international law, international human rights law and international criminal law.  Upon returning to Ukraine in 2006 worked in the private sector providing expert consultations in government relations and participating in a range of social projects, implemented in partnership with such international organizations as UNAIDS, USAID, International Crisis Group, Save Darfour, and others.  In 2014, in the wake of the Russian annexation of Crimea and aggression in the East of Ukraine, joined the team of the Ukraine Crisis Media Center where provided expertise in public international law and countering Russian propaganda in the West.
